Workforce Solutions knows what tools you need to get a job, keep a job, and find a better job. Assistance for job search, work, and educational expenses are available for those who qualify. Visit one of our five offices to speak with our staff and determine your qualification.

Workforce Solutions can refer you to a community partner who offers the following types of training: 

Basic Skills – GED preparation, English as a Second Language, job readiness and general computer literacy training (ex: Microsoft Office Products).

Workforce Solutions is committed to providing our customers with information to make informed decisions about our training providers, training services and performance. Available Training and School Performance.

Occupational Skills Training – courses or programs that will prepare an individual for a job specific occupation and provide them with an industry recognized credential.

AUSTIN – Commissioner of Education Michael Williams announced today that the Texas Education Agency, in collaboration with the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and Texas Workforce Commission, has available a graduation toolkit for students, parents and school counselors.

Employer Services

Within Workforce Solutions is a specialized division tailored to meet Employer's workforce needs. Our Business Service Representatives (BSR) work with Employers and offer customized business consulting services, such as addressing human resource challenges and identifying the skills sets needed by industry.

As a resource to you, our BSRs can also assist with:

 

  • Developing staffing and recruitment plans
  • Partnering with local Economic Development Organizations
  • Researching current labor market information such as wage information, job descriptions, labor pool availability and local business trends
  • Exploring funding sources for education and training of new and existing employees
  • Reserving space where your Recruiters can meet and interview qualified Job Seekers
  • Hiring events at your site or any of our five Offices in the tri-county region
  • Referring qualified candidates to your job openings
