Waitlist in Effect

A waitlist is in effect and applications for new applicants will not be processed. The maximum number of children we can serve, based on funding received under our CCDF Child Care Direct Care (CCF), has been reached. 

The waitlist will place families who apply on a list – the application is placed on a list based on the date the application was received and determines which family will be next in line to apply for child care services when an opening becomes available.

Minimum eligibility requirements must be met to be placed on our waitlist. Once a Workforce Solutions Child Care Staff contacts you, you must be readily prepared to submit a complete Child Care Services Application and all required documentation.

The minimum eligibility requirements and documents that must be provided are listed in the Child Care Services Waitlist Overview (English) (Spanish).

Note: Individuals whose care was terminated due to excessive unexplained absences or unpaid parent share of cost cannot be placed on the waitlist for child care services before complying with a mandatory waiting period of 60 calendar days.

Important Notice

On January 13, 2025, Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) launched the Texas Child Care Connection (TX3C), a new system offering families a statewide online application for Child Care Services.

To apply for a child care scholarship, click here TX3C Parent Central site. This site will be the public access point for waiting lists, new applications and recertification applications.

Beginning January 13, 2025, all important information about your child care scholarship will be shared through the TX3C Parent Portal, which is powered by KinderConnect.  If you have not completed your registration to TX3C Parent Portal, please click here to begin.
